Overview
This article guides users through reauthorizing the HubSpot Custom Object integration in both HubSpot and Crossbeam.
Before You Begin
Ensure you’re logged into Crossbeam with a Full Access seat (Standard or Admin) that includes Integration permissions
In HubSpot, you must have a Sales Hub – Enterprise license to create and manage custom objects, and (if using contact lists) a Marketing Hub – Professional license
For more detailed information on the HubSpot Custom Object, click here.
Confirm HubSpot Private App Permissions
Before reauthorizing, double-check that your HubSpot Private App still has the correct scopes.
In HubSpot, go to Settings → Private Apps and select the Crossbeam App →Auth tab
Under Scopes, confirm the app still has the following scopes enabled:
crm.lists.read
/crm.lists.write
crm.objects.companies.read
/crm.objects.companies.write
crm.objects.contacts.read
/crm.objects.contacts.write
crm.objects.custom.read
/crm.objects.custom.write
crm.schemas.companies.read
/crm.schemas.companies.write
crm.schemas.custom.read
/crm.schemas.custom.write
crm.import
If any are missing, click Edit App, and update the Scopes before continuing
In Crossbeam
Go to Data → Integrations
Locate the HubSpot Custom Object integration and click Settings
Open Advanced Settings
✍️ Note
In the next steps, you’ll need to locate the three-dot menu (⋯). This menu can be easy to miss, it has been clearly marked with red arrows in the accompanying screenshots for your convenience.
In the modal, click the three dots next to the connection and select Update
In the Edit Authentication screen, click Save
Next, you will repeat similar steps to complete the HubSpot Authentication process within Crossbeam.
Click the three dots next to the connection, select Update
In the next window, click Save
Back in the HubSpot Authentication window, click Next
Configure lists by adding or removing them, if needed
Click Next
In the next screen, click Finish
Back in the integration settings, click on Save General Settings
Once complete, your reauthorization should be active. Related errors should clear automatically after your next sync, which may take up to 12 hours.
