How to Reauthorize the Salesforce Custom Object Integration

Follow these steps to reauthorize your Salesforce connection for the Custom Object integration.

Before You Begin

Make sure you are logged in as the integration user in both Salesforce and Crossbeam.

  • The integration user requires the following permissions: Crossbeam Setup User assigned in Salesforce, Visualforce Page Access enabled, and read access to Account and Lead objects

In Salesforce

  • In Salesforce, go to the App Launcher and search for Crossbeam

  • Select Crossbeam Setup from the options

  • Navigate to System Connections and click Edit

  • Revalidate each of the steps:

    • Outbound Connection β†’ Click Next

    • Select your Crossbeam organization β†’ click Next

    • Inbound Connection β†’ Reauthorize when prompted and click Finish


In Crossbeam

  • Locate the Salesforce Custom Objects integration and click Settings

  • Open Advanced Settings


✍️ Note

In the next steps, you’ll need to locate the three-dot menu (β‹―). This menu can be easy to miss, it has been clearly marked with red arrows in the accompanying screenshots for your convenience.


  • In the modal, click the three dots next to the connection and select Update


  • Reauthorize the connection when prompted, click Save

Next, you will repeat these steps to complete the Salesforce authentication process within Crossbeam.

  • click the three dots next to the connection and select Update


  • Next, reauthorize the connection in Salesforce when prompted

  • In the modal, click Next β†’ Finish

  • Back in the Settings, click on Save General Settings

Once complete, your reauthorization should be active. Related errors should clear automatically after your next sync, which may take up to 12 hours.
