CROSSBEAM CREDITS FAQ

Everything you need to know about credit limits.

Written by Joy Rudnick

Introduction

Crossbeam will be enforcing credit limits on all plans starting September 1, 2026. This FAQ guide answers key questions about what Crossbeam Credits are, how they work, how many are allocated by plan, and more.

If you have any additional questions, please reach out to your Account Manager or our support team via support@crossbeam.com or via our in-app chat.

WHAT ARE CROSSBEAM CREDITS?

Crossbeam Credits measure AI access to your ecosystem data. When an AI tool or agent — like Claude, ChatGPT, or a custom agent — pulls partner and account intelligence from Crossbeam, it draws credits from your organization's shared balance.

Credits are pooled across your whole team, not assigned per user, so anyone's AI workflows pull from the same balance.

HOW CREDITS WORK

What consumes credits today?

Starting September 1, 2026, credits will meter access to Crossbeam's MCP server —the connection that lets AI tools and agents easily work with your Crossbeam data. MCP is where credits apply today. Over time, credits may expand to meter other ways AI works with your Crossbeam data. Customers will be notified with a healthy notice period ahead of any changes.

How many credits are included in my plan?

Every plan — even our Free plan — receives a baseline amount of credits included within your platform fee. Here's the breakdown:

Plan

Annual Credits

Free

50/yr

Connector

500/yr

Supernode

2,500/yr

Enterprise

5,000/yr

A few things worth knowing:

  • These credit amounts are the baseline credits your plan receives for the full year

  • Credits reset every year and don't roll over

  • Baseline credits are provided within your platform fee

  • Supernode and Enterprise customers can buy additional packs whenever they need them. See the Buying more credits section below for additional details.

  • If you're on our Free or Connector plan and hit your limit, paid AI features are paused until your annual reset. If that's happening regularly, it might be time to upgrade. See the Buying more credits section below for additional details.

  • If you need help determining the credits you think you’ll need, reach out to your Account Manager or Crossbeam Support (email: support@crossbeam.com)

When will Crossbeam begin enforcing credit limits?

Crossbeam will begin enforcing credit limits on all plans starting September 1, 2026. Right now, credit limits are not enforced — you can run over your plan allocation without interruption.

Are credits shared across the team?

Yes, credits are shared across your team. There are no per-user allocations or caps — anyone with a qualifying seat can draw from the balance.

Do I need a seat to use credits and AI functionality like MCP?

Yes — you'll need a Core or Sales seat to connect Crossbeam's MCP server to an LLM like Claude or OpenAI.

What happens if I run out of credits?

You're not completely cut off. Free AI capabilities keep working, but you lose access to paid AI features until your credits reset at the next annual billing cycle or you purchase additional credit packs.

Does MCP usage count toward my Record Exports limit?

No. MCP activity only draws from credits—it has no impact on your Record Export limit. However, as MCP capabilities advance, this may change over time. You will be notified with a healthy notice period if this changes.

BUYING MORE CREDITS

Can I buy more credits?

Yes! Supernode and Enterprise customers have the option to purchase additional credits over the baseline credit amount included within your plan. Free and Connector customers are not eligible for credit pack purchases at this time.

How much does a credit cost?

Credits have a flat fee cost of $.10/credit.

How do I get more credits?

Supernode and Enterprise customers can purchase credit packs through their Account Manager or by emailing support@crossbeam.com.

Do unused purchased credits roll over?

No—all credits (plan-included and purchased packs) reset at your annual renewal. What you don't use cannot be rolled over.

WHEN ARE CREDITS USED (AND WHEN ARE THEY NOT)

Some actions are always free. Others draw from your credit balance. The difference depends on the type of request and how much data work (compute) is involved.

How do I know how many credits I might use?

Usage estimates depend on how your team works. A good way to estimate: think in terms of patterns of work, then scale by your team.

A person doing mostly lookups (account checks before calls, ad-hoc overlap checks) runs around 200 credits/month. This is likely your individual sales reps.

Someone in daily workflows (partner recommendations, ecosystem reports, light automation) runs around 600/month. This is likely your partnership managers.

An always-on automation (scheduled scans, enrichment, batch jobs) runs around 1,000/month. This is likely coming from your RevOps team.

Multiply by your mix, and you've got a working estimate. The bigger takeaways: credits pool across your whole account, so light users and power users draw from one shared balance. If you’d like to dig into your mix or use case, reach out to your Account Manager or our support team (support@crossbeam.com).

UNDERSTANDING CREDIT USAGE

How do I track my usage?

Right now, admins can monitor credit consumption and overall usage from the Plan & Billing page—broken down by MCP tool calls and active users by week, month, or all time. Only admins have access to the org-level usage view.

By the time we roll out credits to everyone, admins will be able to see how many credits your team has used against how many credits you have available. You can also dive into more details to view all authenticated users (users who have logged into the MCP) by seat type and how many credits that user has consumed.
