Overview

As Crossbeam continues to reimagine the Reports experience, we’re introducing the new Account Mapping Report — a unified view of every overlapping account across your connected partners. It’s designed to be the new default starting point for Partner Managers and Sales Leaders, helping teams identify, filter, and collaborate on shared opportunities faster.

What’s new

The Account Mapping Report brings together powerful new features and design enhancements:

  • Unified View: See every overlap across all connected partners in a single list

  • Advanced Filtering: Filter by partner, partner tag, region, industry, segment, employee count, CRM fields, and more

  • Save and share: Create and save custom views of your data and share internally

  • Collaboration tools: Add Notes and coordinate on shared accounts directly in the Report

  • Tiered access controls: Manage viewing, editing, commenting, and sharing permissions at both the Report and role level

  • Revamped Reports experience: Enjoy an updated design that aligns with Deal Navigator, including the new Account Detail Drawer

‼️ The Account Mapping Report Beta

This feature is currently in beta, which means:

  • Core functionality is available, but is actively under development and is subject to change

  • The experience may vary across different clients

  • Access to this feature during the beta does not guarantee inclusion in your current plan at launch

  • Our documentation will evolve throughout the beta as we continue to add clarity, examples, and best practices based on what we learn from you

We’re building this with you. Send any feedback, bugs, or suggestions our way at product@crossbeam.com — we’d love to hear from you.

Navigation Changes

During the beta, the Account Mapping Report will live at the top of your left-hand navigation. We’ve also updated the Mapping navigation item to Reports so you can easily find all your saved Reports.

You’ll notice the following updates:

  • The two list views under Deal Navigator (Close Deals and Generate Pipeline) are now housed under their own Deal Navigator toggle for easier access

  • Saved Reports and Create Report options have been consolidated into a single Reports page, where you’ll find all existing folders and a list view of all Reports

Using the Account Mapping Report

When you open the new Report, you’ll see all overlapping accounts across your ecosystem. From here, you can:

  • Apply filters and sort by partner, population, or CRM data

  • Edit columns to customize your view

  • Add Notes to collaborate with colleagues

  • Save your filtered view as a custom Report

  • Share your saved Report internally

Creating Reports

With this beta, we’ve simplified how you create Reports. Because the new Account Mapping Report allows you to filter and segment directly within the main view, there’s no longer a need for multiple templates.

During the beta:

  • When you click Create Report, you’ll see only two template options: Greenfield and Custom

  • Templates like Single Partner, Pipeline, Partner Tag, and Ecosystem have been removed

  • You can still achieve similar views by applying filters directly in the new Account Mapping Report

This streamlined experience makes it faster to create targeted Reports without choosing a template upfront.

Report Permissions and Sharing Settings

The Account Mapping Report beta introduces new sharing capabilities, allowing you to share saved views with your internal team (Full Access seats only).

Sharing permissions align with existing Crossbeam permissions.

Admins can manage these permissions from the Roles & Permissions page under Settings. There are four access levels to choose from: Manage, Edit, Comment, and View Only.

Role

Permission

Manager

Can create, edit, delete, add Notes, and share reports internally

Editor

Can create, edit, delete, and add Notes

Commenter

Can view and add Notes

View

Can view only

Once these permissions are set at the role level, Report creators can add users to their saved Reports. They’ll be able to assign the highest level of access available based on that user’s role, or choose a lower level if they prefer to limit involvement.

✍️Note:

Users cannot grant higher access than what’s defined by the role permissions.

Additional Details

  • Historical Reports (created before this beta) remain accessible to everyone in your organization

  • New Reports are private by default unless shared

    • The creator automatically becomes the Report Owner

  • You can see who has permissions by hovering over the Access column on the Reports page or by clicking Share on a Report

  • If a Report is shared with your entire organization, the organization name appears in the Access column

  • Admins will always have access to all saved Reports, but Owners can remove them from view if needed, but will still have visibility into all saved Reports

Collaboration and Notes

We’re bringing the Notes functionality you already know and love from Shared Lists into your other Reports. Notes are available to anyone with Owner, Manager, Editor, or Commenter permissions.

How Notes Work

  • Add a Note: Click within the Notes field to add a new Note

  • New vs. Read Notes:

    • New Notes appear in bold

    • Previously read Notes display in normal text

  • View Note Details: Clicking a Note opens the Notes section in the Account Details Drawer for additional context

  • Note History: Note history is contained within the current Report and does not follow the account or opportunity to other Reports

  • Collaborate: Users can add a new Note or reply to an existing Note for further collaboration
