Use partner data to create co-marketing campaigns in Adobe Marketo Engage

With the Crossbeam and Adobe Marketo Engage integration, Marketing Teams can improve leads and get them to sales faster. The integration uses Crossbeam reports to automatically bring in partner overlaps, making co-marketing tasks like nurturing joint integrations and promoting partner events and webinars much simpler.

❗️Important

Salesforce must be connected as a Data Source within your Crossbeam account. Click here to learn more about Salesforce as a Data Source.


Set Up Integration

To install Adobe Marketo Engage Integration:

  • Click the Data icon and select Integrations from the side panel options

  • Next, locate the Adobe Marketo Engage tile from the Available Integrations section

  • Click Install to start the process

After clicking Install, a new window will open.


Connect Adobe Marketo Engage

❗️Important

To complete the installation, a Marketo Admin is required.


Authentication Process

Click here for the detailed instructions the Marketo Administrator will need to complete this process.

In the pop-up modal, you will be prompted to complete the following:

  • Crossbeam Authentication process

    • Click on New Authentication

    • Create a New Authentication

    • Select your personal credentials

    • Authorize App Access

  • Marketo Authentication process

    • Click on New Authentication

    • Create a New Authentication

❗️Important

The required fields for the New Marketo Authentication Process will need to be provided by a Marketo Administrator.


Configuration of Crossbeam Reports to Marketo Programs

After the authentication process is set up, you will be prompted to configure Crossbeam reports to Marketo Program.

Follow the instructions below or watch this video:

To configure Crossbeam Reports to Marketo:

  • Associate your Crossbeam Reports to your Marketo Programs on the Please Configure Overlaps window

    • Under Organization, click the drop-down arrow to select your Crossbeam Organization

    • Under Crossbeam Report, click the drop-down arrow to select your desired Crossbeam Report

    • Under Program, click the drop-down arrow to associate the selected Crossbeam Report to the desired Marketo Program

      • Repeat the above steps to add more associations

    • Click Next when done

  • Enter a date for processing to ensure all persons are captured in the Members tab of your desired Marketo Programs

  • click Next

Click finish when done. Please note, the initial installation sync may take up to 10 mins before data will be available to view in Marketo.


Manage Integration

Click the Data icon and select Integrations from the side panel. Next, locate the Adobe Marketo Engage row under the Installed Integrations section.

This row displays the integration status as Active. Click the Configure button to adjust the configuration set up, or click the three dots to remove the integration from Crossbeam.

Add or Remove Reports to Marketo Configuration

Reports made in Crossbeam can be associated with a program build in your Marketo account.

Add a Report:

  • Create a Report in Crossbeam with overlaps

  • Navigate to the Integrations workspace and locate Adobe Marketo Engage under the Installed Integrations list

    • click the Configure button next to Adobe Marketo Engage

  • In the pop-up modal, you will be prompted through the authorization windows, click Next until you reach the Please Configure Overlaps window

    • On the Please Configure Overlaps window, click the Add to Configuration button

    • select an Organization, Crossbeam Report, and Marketo Program from each of the drop-down options

    • click the Next button until you reach the Finish button to close the modal

Remove a Report:

  • to remove a report from the Please Configure Overlaps window

    • hover your mouse over the row you want to remove and a red X will appear to the right of the row

    • click the red X to remove the row

    • click the Next button until you reach the Finish button to close the modal
