Overview
Crossbeam’s Salesforce v2 integration offers improved performance and new report building features. This guide walks you through everything you need to know to upgrade from v1 to v2 smoothly.

Step-by-Step Upgrade Process
Step 1: Review your Current Integration Setup
In Crossbeam, navigate to the Data icon. Select Integrations from the side panel.
Scroll down the page to locate the Salesforce Custom Object Legacy row.
Click the Install button.
Step 2: Install the v2 Integration
In the pop-up window, complete both the Crossbeam and Salesforce authentication steps when prompted.
On the Salesforce Custom Object Package screen, you do not need to download the package again. Click Next, then click Finish in the following window to complete the process.
Step 3: Configure Data Push Setting in Crossbeam
In Crossbeam, navigate to the Data icon, select Integrations from the side panel.
Scroll down the page to locate the Salesforce Custom Object row. Click the Setting button.
In the Settings panel:
Adjust Data Pushes
Toggle on or off to enable or disable data push
Select or deselect the box next to Push Opportunity Data
Customize Data in Push
Click the arrow next to My Population to expand your available Populations
Select or deselect the Populations to be pushed into the integration
Click the arrow next to Partner Populations to expand and see the available Populations
Add new Partnerships Automatically
Toggle on or off to automatically add new partners
Partner-Specific Settings
You can choose to apply these settings to all specific partners collectively or customize them individually for each partner, depending on your needs
After making your selections, click Save Changes to confirm.
Step 4: Validate Update in Salesforce
In Salesforce, go to Setup in the Setup menu. Use the quick find search to locate the Object Manager. Open Object Manager and search Crossbeam Ecosystem Overlap, which should appear as a deployed Custom Object.
Please note, v2 is called Crossbeam Ecosystem Overlap.
However, v1 (called Crossbeam Overlap) will also be displayed in the table. Your Salesforce admin will be able to make modifications to workflows connected to the v1 custom object and to hide reports connected to v1.

Step 5: Deactivate v1 in Crossbeam
In Crossbeam, navigate to the Data icon, select Integrations from the side panel.
Scroll down the page to locate the Salesforce Custom Object Legacy row. Click the Setting button.
In the Setting panel, deselect all the boxes, and this data will be removed during the next sync.

FAQs
Will we lose any data?
No, this is an upgrade to the current custom object (v1). The upgrade enhances data customization and improves report-building features.
How long does the upgrade to take v2?
After completing the above setup, allow for at least an hour before data will be synced.
How can the Salesforce Admin help with the transition?
The Salesforce admin can manually go into the Reports tab, locate the Crossbeam Overlap Reports (v1) and select Hide Report Type from the drop-down option. Additionally, any workflows built on v1 will need to be recreated in v2.
