To ensure you have the most up-to-date version of Crossbeam’s Salesforce App, you must complete the upgrade AND authorization described below. Please also note that permission sets have changed with the updated version, so you will want to evaluate what permission sets should be assigned to users.

Visit the AppExchange here and click the Get it Now button to install the latest version. If you are not already logged into the org you wish to install the package into, Salesforce will prompt you to log in.

  • Click Next

  • Select the correct organization to sync with Salesforce

  • Click Next

  • Click authorize to enter Salesforce credentials

  • Click Finish (❗️ you must Update Permission Sets to complete the set-up)

❗️Important

You must Update Permission Sets after clicking Authorize AND Finish in order to successfully complete the reauthorization process.

Update Permission Sets

The Salesforce App includes five Crossbeam permission sets that MUST BE configured in order to view and use the App.

❗️Important

If you were previously a Crossbeam Admin User in earlier versions of the app, your new permission set will default to Crossbeam Setup User with this upgrade. Any user with the Crossbeam Setup User permission set must also have Crossbeam credentials in order to upgrade and reauthorize the Salesforce App. If users were previously assigned no permission sets, they will get an error message with this upgrade until a permission set is assigned.
