Create Partner Tags to identify, organize, and manage partners in Crossbeam. Find the partners you're looking for faster with easy filtering capabilities.

(Note: Crossbeam roles with the "View Only" partnership permission can view and filter Partner Tags, but cannot add, edit, or delete tags on partners. To access these functionalities, please contact the Crossbeam Admin for your organization.)

Add Tags to a Partner

Create custom tags and add them to your partners on the Partners page or on a Partner's Detail page. Keep in mind, your tags are visible to everyone in your organization.

If you're on the Partners page, click "Add Tags" if there aren't any tags for a specific partner, or click the plus sign icon in the "Tags" column to add to a partner's existing tags. Select a tag from the dropdown menu or enter a new one and hit "Save".

Note: Partner tags cannot be greater than 40 characters so keep that in mind when creating a new tag.

To add a tag while on a Partner's Detail page, click "Add Tags" if there aren't any tags for a specific partner. If the partner already has tags, click the pencil icon to either select a tag from the dropdown menu or enter a new one and hit "Save".

💡 Tip - Suggested Tags to Start Out With:

You can tag partners however you'd like in Crossbeam. We suggest tagging by:

  • Partner Type - Segment technology, agency, referral, reseller, solution, platform, and strategic partners.

  • Tier - Prioritize co-marketing and co-selling motions with your top tier partners

  • Partner Account Manager - View partners assigned to you or other partner managers on your team

  • Geographic Region - Identify local, regional, or global partners

  • Lifecycle Stage - Keep track of partners' progression through lifecycle stages so you can signal to your internal teams when partners are "Go-To-Market Ready."

  • Partner Status - Identify active vs inactive partners so you know where to focus your time and resources.

  • Specialization - Organize partners by their specialization (e.g. software development, media, PR, e-commerce, Video Production, Web Design,).

Add Partners to a Tag

To tag partners in bulk, head to the filter menu, click the ellipses for your tag and click "Add to Partners." You can add the tag to partners listed in the dropdown menu and hit Save.

Edit or Delete Partner Tags

To edit a tag, navigate to the Filter menu on the Partners page, click the ellipses for the tag you'd like to edit, and update the text.

You can also delete a tag in this menu by clicking "Delete Tag".

Note: Editing or deleting a tag will change that tag on every partner.

Filter Partner Tags

Once you've added tags to your partners, you can filter the view on the Partners page. Filtering functionality includes both "AND" and "OR" filters. If you select "AND" filters, the Partners list will only show partners that have every tag you selected. If you select "OR" filters, the Partners list will show Partners that have at least one of the tags you selected.

There are a couple ways to filter tags: 1) You can click individual tags for quick filtering or 2) you can navigate to the Filter Menu to select the tags you'd like to filter.
