Build a Standard Population

Streamline account mapping motions by segmenting your data into meaningful groups of people or companies called Populations.

What are Populations?

Populations are segments of data from your data source. These Populations align with key stages in your funnel, such as prospects, open opportunities, and customers.

Create a Population

Click on Data from the navigation menu, select Populations from the dropdown options.

On this page, you'll see the three Standard Populations:

  • Customer

  • Open Opportunities

  • Prospects

Each standard population has a Create button next to it. Click Create to begin setting up that Population.

This will take you to the Population Builder area:

  • Add Population name

  • Add Optional Population description

  • Select CSV Upload from the Data Source menu

  • Under File the Name will be pre-filled base on the CSV file you uploaded or you can click the drop-down menu to select a different file

Click Continue.

To add filters, click the drop-down menu to Add Table Filters.

You will be able to preview the Population or save the Population by selecting the appropriate button.

Click Save Population when done.

Set Sharing Default

After creating a Population, you will also be prompted to set default sharing settings for each new Population you create.

Manage Populations

Select Data from the navigation bar and Populations from the dropdown options.

For each Population, you can:

  • Click Edit to open the Population Builder and adjust filters

  • Click the three dots to adjust: sharing, duplicate or delete the population or export

  • Click the pencil icon next to Sharing Settings to adjust
