For Sales Seats: Getting Started with Crossbeam and Crossbeam Features

Understand Crossbeam for users with a Sales seat only.

Written by Joy Rudnick

In this article:

Overview

This article covers how to access Crossbeam as a Sales seat user (Connector or Supernode only), navigate the platform, and use sales features to find pipeline and accelerate deals.

The free plan (Explorer) does not have Sales seats. However, there is a limited preview of Copilot for Salesforce and HubSpot, which does not require a Sales seat.

To upgrade your account, visit the Plan & Billing page.

✍️ Note

Feature access and functionality may vary based on the permissions configured by your organization's Crossbeam admin. If anything outlined in this article does not function as expected, contact your Crossbeam admin for further assistance.

If you are a Crossbeam admin setting up sales features for your team, see Crossbeam Sales Settings and Features Overview.

Log in to Crossbeam

Your Crossbeam admin assigns you a Sales seat before you can log in.

Via email invite:

  • Click Join Now in your invite email

  • Create your account and verify your email address

  • Log in at app.crossbeam.com and accept the invite to join your organization

Via SSO:

  • Your admin pre-provisions your access—no email invite required

  • Contact your Crossbeam admin if you don't have your organization's SSO login URL

✍️ Note

If you attempt to log in via SSO and receive an error, contact your Crossbeam admin to confirm your seat has been assigned.

Log in to Crossbeam Copilot

If your organization uses SSO:

  • Open Crossbeam Copilot in your tool (Salesforce, HubSpot, Chrome, Gong, or Outreach)

  • Click Continue with SSO to gain access automatically—no separate invite needed

If your organization does not use SSO:

  • You will receive a separate email invite for Copilot access

  • Click Join Now and follow the prompts to set up your account

If you don't have a Sales seat yet:

  • If your admin has enabled Copilot for Salesforce or HubSpot, you'll see a preview version with limited data

  • Click Request Access in the Copilot panel—an email is sent to your Crossbeam admin to assign you a seat

  • Your admin can review pending seat requests under Settings → Team →Seat Request tab

Request access directly in Copilot:

An email will be sent to the Crossbeam admin:

✍️ Note

If you attempt to log in via SSO and you get an error, contact your Crossbeam admin to confirm you have the correct seat in Crossbeam (Sales seat or Full Access seat) and that your organization's SSO settings are correctly configured.

Once an admin has assigned a Sales seat to a user, they can log in via SSO through the organization’s Crossbeam login. After logging in with SSO, they will be automatically redirected to Crossbeam. SSO allows organizations to add users without the need for an email invite.

Get Intel is how users request partner help on a specific account—an introduction, background intel, or co-sell assist. It is powered by co-selling templates set up by your admin in Sales Settings.

Where to access Get Intel:

  • Deal Navigator: Click the Message button in the partner column on any open opportunity

  • Pipeline Generation: Click the Message button in the table

  • Crossbeam Copilot: Click the Get Intel button on a partner in the Copilot panel

✍️ Note

If the Get Intel button does not display, that partner hasn't been enabled for co-selling by your admin. Contact your Crossbeam admin for assistance.

Managing all your conversations:

  • Navigate to Messages from the left-hand navigation to view all open and completed partner conversations across all partners in one place

Starting a conversation:

  • Click Get Intel/Message at your entry point

  • Select questions from your admin's co-selling template

  • Add context for the partner and send

What you can do in a conversation:

  • Reply to and complete conversations with partners

  • View overlapping accounts associated with that partner

  • Mark Attribution on closed deals to credit the partner assist—this syncs automatically to Salesforce

  • View collateral links your admin has added for that partner

✍️ Note

Standard role users can initiate new partner requests, reply, complete conversations, and mark Attribution.

Limited role users can reply to and complete conversations but cannot initiate new requests.

Contact your Crossbeam admin if you're unsure of your role.

Clicking into a message will showcase the history and give you the opportunity to keep the conversations going internally or publicly with your partner.

Salesforce reports and dashboards

Sales seat or Full Access seat · Connector or Supernode plan

If your team uses the Crossbeam Salesforce integration, you can access Crossbeam data directly in Salesforce in three ways:

Crossbeam tab in Salesforce

Access Deal Navigator and Pipeline Generation directly in Salesforce via the Crossbeam tab—no need to switch between tools.

Custom reports and dashboards

Once the Crossbeam Salesforce Custom Object Integration is installed, Crossbeam ecosystem overlap data is available as a custom object in Salesforce—meaning you can add partner overlap data to any Salesforce report or dashboard your team builds.

Ready-to-use report templates (Supernode plan only)

Crossbeam's ready-to-use Salesforce report templates surface ecosystem overlap data directly in Salesforce without needing RevOps support. Reports are organized by three use cases:

  • Source Opportunities—identify ecosystem-qualified leads by comparing your prospects to your partners' customers

  • Influence Deals—see which open opportunities overlap with your partners' customer bases

  • Retain & Expand Customers—track expansion opportunities by analyzing overlap between your customers and your partners' customers

✍️ Note

Ready-to-use report templates and custom reporting require the Salesforce Custom Object Integration. Your Salesforce Admin must share the Crossbeam Reports folder before templates are visible to your team.

Crossbeam Copilot
